Virtual Apps and Desktops and NetScaler leave legacy file-based licensing. The change was announced September 8, 2025. No prices were in the source.

Who is affected. Sites that still activate Citrix with a license file.
Before renewal
- After April 15, 2026, a site still on file licenses will break.
- Upgrade the License Server and register it with Citrix Cloud before that date.
- Check firewall egress. The cloud activation service needs to reach Citrix.
